Why Waypoint

Built for how clinicians think.

Most study tools test what you remember. Waypoint trains what you do with it: read the patient, choose the test, interpret the result and decide the next step. Every lesson opens with a patient and comes back to them with the answer.

Everything in Waypoint.

Modules, patient cases, references and clinical tools, organized into journeys that take you from the first visit to harder cases.

Modules · 24

Modules that start and end with a patient.

Each module is split into short sections that unlock in order. Every section opens with a patient, teaches what you need, comes back to that patient with the answer, then checks your reasoning with a question.

  • Evaluation modules for the shoulder, spine, neck and knee
  • Clinical reasoning, red flags and the neuro exam
  • Cardiopulmonary evaluation and exercise prescription
  • Rotation modules and board exam strategy

  • A case library you can search and filter by topic

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Waypoint?

A study app that builds clinical reasoning for pre-PT students, PT students and clinicians: modules, patient cases, quick references and clinical tools, organized into guided journeys.

Who is it for?

Everyone on the PT path: pre-PT students getting ready for school, current PT students from the first year through clinical rotations and board exam prep, and practicing clinicians who want a quick refresher on evaluations, red flags and outcome measures.

Where does the information come from?

Every fact is checked against a published source: clinical practice guidelines, systematic reviews and research studies. More than 450 published sources sit behind the content today. Content is written by our DPT student team with the help of AI tools and reviewed by our team before it goes live.

Is it reviewed by a licensed clinician?

Not yet. Waypoint is a learning tool and may contain errors. If you spot one, report it in the app and we will review it right away.

How often is new content added?

All the time. We add new journeys, cases and references and keep improving what is already there. Recently added: a full Cardiopulmonary journey and a Knee journey.

Does it help with the board exam?

The Board Exam Countdown journey covers study strategy and mixed practice across body systems, and the rest of the app builds the clinical reasoning those questions test.

Is it on Android?

Waypoint launches on iPhone first.

Can I use it on a computer?

Not at launch. Studying on the web is something we would like to add later.

Do I enter patient information?

No. Waypoint uses fictional cases only. Never enter real patient names or details.

When does it launch?

Soon. Join the waitlist and you'll hear first, with the founding price.
